CYS HISTORY Now completing its 66th season, the California Youth Symphony has established a reputation as one of the outstanding youth orchestra programs in the United States and its alumni number in the thousands. In 1963 the California Youth Symphony became the first American youth orchestra to tour overseas when it accepted an invitation to tour Japan.
